I was raised Methodist attending a small traditional United Methodist Church in Chesapeake City, Maryland. I moved to Pike Creek in 1974 when my job relocated here. After running back to my hometown church for a few years, I finally found Skyline UMC once the building was built. I have been an active member since then and love the contemporary service.

I serve to praise God and share God's love with others. I currently serve as Treasurer on the Finance Committee. Prior to Covid-19, I created worship slides for our Sunday worship service and digital sign. I am also involved with Family Promise. 

My 2020 commitment to read the Bible in a year has added many new favorite scriptures to my list. Psalm 12:1-2, 7 is the one that brings me comfort and peace. "I raise my eyes toward the mountains... My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth. The Lord will protect you from all evil; God will protect your very life... from now until forever from now."

My hope for Skyline is that we are able to make everyone feel welcome to worship with us and share God's love so they consider making Skyline their church home.
