Our Mission-Driven Ministry

At Skyline Church, we are committed to putting our faith into action by supporting missions that transform lives both locally and globally. Our long-standing history of outreach focuses on combating food insecurity, addressing housing challenges, and fighting against human trafficking. We engage in hands-on service, organize item drives, and make financial contributions to organizations that make a real difference.

Ongoing Missions

• Monthly Meals: We serve nutritious meals at Andrew’s Place, a key ministry of Friendship House.
• Meals on Wheels: Every five weeks, we deliver Meals on Wheels to provide seniors with a week’s worth of nourishing meals.
• Food Drives: We collect non-perishable food donations for the Delaware VA Medical Center.

Special Initiatives

In addition to our regular outreach, we also support special mission projects, including:

• Clothing Drives: Organized for The Clothing Bank of Delaware, another Friendship House ministry.
• Meal Packaging: Partnering with Rise Against Hunger to package meals for those in need.
• Collections for Zoe Ministries: Supporting efforts for individuals impacted by sex trafficking.
• Item Drives: Coordinating collections for toys, canned food, warm clothing, and assistance for Code Purple Ministries.

Disaster Relief

We also support UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) by taking up collections for disaster relief, ensuring that our community contributes to recovery efforts when crises strike.

United Methodist Church Apportionments

Skyline Church is proud to pay 100% of our UMC apportionments. Simply put, UMC apportionments are the designated contributions that every United Methodist Church makes to support broader work of the denomination - funding missions, ministries, and various community support projects worldwide. This commitment reflects our dedication to working together as part of a larger family in Christ.
