Discipleship Pathway

Ivan Turner Jr.

Discipleship Pathway Leader

Life Story

I grew up as a Presbyterian in the Midwest and moved to Delaware in 1998. That's when I first came to Skyline, became a Methodist, met my husband and married him in the Grove. I attend church with my two teenage daughters.

I serve in order to glorify God and to fulfill my membership commitment to my church family. Using my #1 Spiritual Gift which is the gift of administration, I serve in a leadership capacity as the Administrative Council Chair and leader of the Missions, Outreach, and Justice Pathways.

Favorite Scripture

Jesus said, "I give you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, so you also must love each other." (John 13:34) This is one of my favorite verses as I feel that it sums up the last line of Skyline's vision, "... so that ALL may experience and embrace God's love."

Hope for the Skyline Church

I hope that more people will be able to experience the love and acceptance that is Skyline Church. In addition, once people find Skyline and decide that they love it, I hope that they will become involved so that they can grow in their faith and then reach out to others in love.
